  • Dehydrated red beans
  • Custom Neighborly Food Co. cajun seasoning (salt, dehydrated garlic, onion powder, raw cane sugar, red pepper, thyme, oregano, black pepper, white pepper, yeast extract, paprika, natural applewood smoke flavor)

Spice Level: 2 OUT OF 5 ... mildly spicy! To combat spiciness:

  • Add dairy (milk, yogurt, sour cream) or fats to dissolve the heat,
  • Introduce acid (lemon/lime juice, vinegar) to neutralize it,
  • Incorporate sweetness (sugar, honey) to balance, or
  • Dilute with starchy foods (rice, bread, potatoes) or more broth/ingredients to reduce the concentration.

Customer Cooking Suggestion: If the product has more water than you'd prefer after 40 minutes, remove the lid and simmer for an additional 10 minutes. Alternatively, reduce the water from the start to 4 cups.
